Aretha and Bailey Robinson, in Albany, GA. His name was Raymond Charles Robinson .Ray charles was blind at the age of of seven. His mother now his only parent taught him to be very independent. Ray charles later become a songwriter, musician and composer. His fellow musicians nicknamed him Brother Ray.
